The Royal Party open the playpark
Monaltrie Play park opening 14th April 2005
The Official opening ceremony was carried out by HRH the Duke
and Duchess Of Rothesay, who were enjoying there
Honeymoon on Royal Deeside. The Day was also planned to be one for
the Children, so we invited the local School down to give there seal
of approval. Once the Duchess of Rothesay had cut the Tartan ribbon
the children ran into the park to enjoy the various playpark items,
they also along with Chiels got the chance to be introduced to the
Royal Party

The Chiels Chairman Greeting HRH before the Ceremony
"We were truly
delighted that they decided to interrupt their honeymoon to open our
new play park, We find it hard to believe that when we started our
organisation some four years ago, our plans at the time were to hold
a sponsored walk for some local children with some disabilities and
now some £65,000 later we had the HRH the
Duke and Duchess of Rothesay opening one of our ventures."
John Pringle Chairman of the Chiels
The Duke and Duchess
are very much at home on Deeside and I think they will realise how
much the play park will be appreciated and benefit the local
community the opening also gave the local people of Deeside the
opportunity to congratulate the happy couple. Thursday
April 14th is a date that will stick in the Chiels mind for a very
long time.
The Media attention on the day was almost
unbelievable and certainly helped to put the Chiels name on the map,
our only query is where do we go from here?
