Recent Chiels
news......
The Chiels recently held there Annual General Meeting at the
Glenaden Hotel Ballater where new office bearers were duly elected.
In stepping down, from his duties as Chairman John Pringle
summarised what a successful two years it had been for the Chiels
firstly our invite to Birkhall (Royal Residence of HRH Prince of
Wales) then probably our finest hour the opening of the children's
play park in Ballater by the newly weds the Duke & Duchess of
Rothesay.
He Continued to say that 2006 started on a sad note with the passing
away of Michael Sheridan, Michael had been a tremendous servant not
only to the Chiels but Ballater and District

The Chiels however duly went on to have another successful Golf Day
followed by our own two day challenge which proved to me more than a
handful, but was enjoyed by all especially when sitting back on
level ground in the Balmoral Bar. The year climaxed with our now
some what traditional fancy dress night (held in the Glenaden Hotel
on 23rd December) the night proved to be a great success and we
would like to thank everyone who joined into the spirit and came
along in fancy dress the night proved to be another money spinner
with £1500 being raised for charity.

John Pringle then stood down and the Chair was taken by Ian Rattray
(New Chairman) who thanked John for his commitment and work over the
last two years, Ian will now lead the Chiels into 2007 which once
again will be another trying year or us but one thing for sure we
will follow the Chiels moto and.....
